Families and children are very welcome year-round for a relaxing drink or something to eat. We also welcome dogs as we are dog owners ourselves. Space is limited in the bar so all we ask is that dog owners respect other patrons and keep dogs on a lead.
Patrons over 65 look out for our weekday Seniors menu featuring smaller plates from the main menu and Specials Board at a very reasonable price. Afternoon teas and weekend breakfast offers will also feature.
Darts, Cribbage and board games are on offer if you are feeling the need to challenge family or friends. We will also show BT sports events.
Send us your pictures or posts via Facebook or Twitter and keep us all entertained on those cold winter nights! We will share your thoughts and adventures (keep them clean!) with the Charmouth community and a much wider audience.
We will hold a monthly draw to decide on the best pictures or posts (the Landlady's decision is final!).
Prizes to be decided but they will almost certainly involve food and or drink...........
Keep and eye out for the Specials Board featuring a selection of locally sourced & freshly prepared main dishes; in addition to some mouth-watering desserts to tempt even the best of intentions.
For a relaxing Coffee and Cream Tea, call into the Oak and relax after your walk or exploration of the area. Homemade dishes using local ingredients mean you can expect the full Dorset experience.
An especially vibrant yet small local in this Dorset village, set at the mouth of the River Char. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome from your hosts, Karen & Ian and you can enjoy a refreshing pint provided by Palmers Brewery. Popular with families and couples alike, Charmouth is the "gateway to the Jurassic Coast" and visitors can enjoy the beach which is just a stroll away from the front door or the beautiful coastal walks or the West Dorset countryside.
